I am not blaming you at all for selling this on, it might be a good idea to explain just how small the SMD components are though. People who are not used to handling SMDs and don't have some basic equipment (specialist tweezers/temp controlled iron) and some basic competence in using them are not going to have a chance and will fry the components (and possibly their CD70's) in seconds
This is quite true. That's why i am saying average skill. However i think special tools is not required (at least for me). Most important is timing, as a rule of thumb, max soldering time is 3 seconds for IC and 5 seconds for caps/resistors per pin. I use a non-temp control solder iron and steal a tweezer from my wife, and finish all this. (I moved all high end tools to lab so only some basic tools at home).
So, personal soldering suggestion is:
Use a small tip solder iron, temperature not over 400 degree if possible.
DO NOT PUT YOUR IRON ON PCB FOR TOO LONG, IF YOU HAVEN'T SOLDERED A PIN SUCCESSFULLY IN ONE TIME, ALLOW SOME TIME (E.G. 10 SECONDS) TO COOL DOWN AND RETRY.
Use plenty of solder flux will help protect the Parts and Pads.
Also in the last picture of component location,
C9, Upper pin is negative and Lower pin is positive,
C8, Left pin is positive and Right pin is negative,
